“Your Monday morning thoughts set the tone for your whole week. See yourself getting stronger, and living a fulfilling, happier & healthier life.”– Germany Kent
Are you in need of some Monday motivation?
I’ve put together a weekly collection of 3 fun things that recently caught my attention that I believe can help give you a boost of inspiration to get your week kicked off in the best possible way.
1. What I am reading…..
In today’s world, yesterday’s methods just don’t work.
In Getting Things Done, David Allen shares the techniques for stress-free performance and productivity.
Allen’s idea is our productivity is directly proportional to our ability to relax.
Only when our minds are calm and our thoughts are organized can we achieve effective productivity and unleash our creative potential.
‘In Getting Things Done’ Allen shows how to:
- Apply the “do it, delegate it, defer it, drop it” rule to get your in-box to empty
- Reassess goals and stay focused in changing situations
- Plan projects as well as get them unstuck
- Overcome feelings of confusion, anxiety, and being overwhelmed
- Feel fine about what you’re not doing.

2. What I am listening to….
In this great episode Tim Ferriss interviews Dr. Jim Loehr.
He is a world-renowned performance psychologist and author.
He talks openly about his experiences working with Olympic athletes and how they overcome those times of self-doubt to achieve success at the highest level.
They also talk in depth about his latest book, ‘Leading with Character’.
Dr. Loehr believes the single most important factor in successful achievement, personal fulfilment, and life satisfaction is the strength of one’s character.
He argues that character strength can be built in the same way that muscle strength is built—through energy investment.
Interview so impressed I bought the book!
3. What I am watching….
Why do seemingly intelligent people procrastinate?
Are there really hidden patterns and belief systems within us that conspire against our best intentions?
In this TED talk, human behaviour expert, Peter Sage, exposes some of the hidden reasons and unconscious patterns that cause us to self-sabotage and explains what we can do to change them.
Hope you enjoyed this dose of 3 things that inspired me.
