Rather than feeling in control of our minds, we often feel they are controlling us. Or, to use a popular phrase, we react instead of respond. Mindfulness — one of the biggest buzzwords of the 21st century — can help us master our own mind, be it just a little bit at a time. This can help reduce our stress and improve our emotional regulation and self-control, ultimately improving our relationships and quality of life in general.Harvard researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital published a study that found that participating in an eight-week mindfulness meditation program was associated with changes in brain regions involved in learning and memory, emotional regulation, self-referential processing, and perspective-taking.So if you have an interest in learning mindfulness in 2022 for a stress free life let me know.
